SSI Asset Management Co., Ltd and Daiwa Corporate Investment Co., Ltd, its partner and a subsidiary of Daiwa Securities Group, have completed the initial closing of the DAIWA SSIAM Vietnam Growth Fund III.
Daiwa Securities Group Inc has raised its stake in Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) to 20.39 per cent from 19.66 per cent through a purchase of 3.68 million SSI shares.
Daiwa Securities Group
will invest a total of nearly 20 billion yen ($177 million) in a major
Vietnamese securities company and a Malaysian investment bank, ramping
up operations in a region expected to enjoy long-term growth.
